Singapore Thanksgiving

It is always a weird experience to celebrate a US holiday while living abroad.  It feels funny all the way around with no time off, few others celebrating and not being with family!

The kids had 2 days off for Thanksgiving break...thank you American school!  Many people take advantage of having this random holiday off to travel.  However, Nate still had to work and he was leaving for the US later that weekend, so we stayed in town.

Thankfully, we headed to the American Club with friends for what was surprisingly a true Thanksgiving feast, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes and even pumpkin pie!  They really did it right and we had fun celebrating with our friends, even though it was far from a typical Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving I am especially thankful for great friends....near and far!!  xo
