Marina Bay Sands Stay-cation

We had a great stay at Marina Bay Sands for Nate's birthday!  His birthday, May 1, is Labor Day here and a public holiday.  We took advantage of the day off and did a stay-cation at MBS.

This hotel sits on a man-made island, on the South side of Singapore, where the Singapore River and the ocean meet.  It is opposite of the central business district, with just a small inlet separating the two.  It is an impressive building and one of the landmark buildings in Singapore, with it's distinguishable "boat" on top.  The 57 storey building is the most expensive building in the world!  Costing $5.7 billion!

MBS houses a theater, museum, luxury shopping with gondola rides, casino, convention center and a ton of celebrity restaurants.  It's like a mini-Vegas!

My kids were SO excited to stay here - more excited than any other trip we've taken!  Probably because they actually had some context as to what we were doing (rather than saying, we're going to Cambodia, etc and having no idea what that is or what to expect)!  Going to MBS, they new exactly.  They were so excited to be hanging on "the boat"!!

We had a blast hanging at the infinity pool, enjoying great views of the business district.  The weather was perfect and we had a beautiful sunset!  We will definitely do this again before leaving Singapore!
