Haskins Visit to Singapore

I can't remember the last time I anticipated something so much.  My parents finally made their trip to Singapore last month!  We were so excited to see them and show them our city.

We had a blast - keeping busy with the kids activities, touring the city and doing a lot of gabbing & coffee-drinking :)  They enjoyed the heat and found Singapore to be a beautiful city, as we knew they would!!  The weather was perfect, hot, but not too hot and hardly any rain!

It was fun for us to be tourists in our own city, doing all the old standby's - Chinatown, Little India, Arab Quarter, Orchard Road, River Walk, Sentosa Island, Botanic Gardens and even did a few "firsts" with them - Gardens by the Bay, Raffles Hotel, Marina Bay Sands and the Orchid Garden.

We had 10 days of fun and I was so so sad to see them leave!!  I've gotten used to being "alone" over here, so it was kind of a tease to have them here and then poof, my familiar faces were gone!

My dad is retiring in December, so we're hoping to get them over here again before we move home!!!

They don't look excited at all!!!  Woke them up at 2:30am to head to the airport.

Waiting for the bus with Papa after a LONG night!

At the wet market in Little India - mom was a little grossed out with the meat & fish.  Dad was certain it wouldn't pass code :)

Sampling some roti prata at a Hawker stand and they actually liked it!

Couldn't miss Ben & Jerry's free scoop day
