Kusu Island Day Trip

Singapore has over 60 islands, all uninhabited except for the largest island where we live.  We took a quick ferry ride to Kusu island a few weeks ago with some friends.  The island is home to numerous sea turtles, monitor lizards and other fun tropical creatures.  No one lives on this island, but it is set up for recreation, as many Singaporeans enjoy coming here for the peace and tranquility.
We spent the day at the beach, enjoyed a picnic lunch and had fun exploring the Chinese temple and the Malay shrine!

Heading up to the Malay shrine, where people come here to pray for wealth and fertility!

Monitor lizard, these guys are huge and so fun to watch!  They are like mini dragons!!

Soaking up the last bit of beach time before the storm rolled in!
