Mia's 6th Birthday Party

Mia had a pool party at our condo to celebrate her 6th birthday!  We had all the girls from her class and some other family friends join us.

It was supposed to be on Saturday and we woke up to thunderstorms and pounding rain all morning long!!  I about died!  It had not rained that much in months, go figure!!!  And because I could not host 16 kids plus parents in our condo, we decided to reschedule for Sunday in hopes of better weather AND we got it!  A beautiful day!  Nate was to leave for India Sunday morning, but rescheduled his trip for Sunday night so it all worked out!

The girls swam, did a water balloon toss, noodle races, took pictures at our make-shift photo booth and ate pizza & cupcakes!  It was a great time!  As long as we live in the midwest, Mia will never be able to have a pool party in April, so it was fun that we could do it here!

I still can't believe that I have a "6" year old!  That sounds OLD!  xo

Lizzie came up and opened Mia's presents with her!

March Pics

Hi!  Here are some pics from March, just a little late!

It's been a busy month!  Lots of travels - our family trip to Cambodia, Nate traveling in China and my girls trip to Vietnam last weekend!

We had Mia's birthday party today AND my parents arrive later tonight (yay!!).  I will write a longer update soon!!

Mia @ the dentist - she's a Kiwi from New Zealand

Sam's dentist is an American!

Love these posters hanging up around the school about how to be an "open-minded" student - one of Stamford's core values!

Helping out at Mia's class photos!

Washing the Picnic, in the car park!

Spirit Week at Stamford - Super hero day in Mia's class

Crazy hair day!

Mia's Mandarin performance - so cute!!  And even more fun on an "out of uniform" day!

Sam's outfit on a no uni day

Dirty boy after playing hard in the heat at Sports Class

Tastes the same here!

At the theater seeing the play Rapunzel

Finally got some rain!  Felt so good after not having rain for months!  Helps with the haze smell too!

Fun times at Lizzie's spa b-day party

Getting pampered - hair done and mani's/pedi's

How cute are these bath wraps!  Monogramed!!

Big girl :)

Little temples all over Sing - here in a parking garage for the workers!

Hanging out at the school playground while waiting for Mia to get done with her after school dance class

Sam of course loves the ginormous sandbox!

Interesting :)

Fun times having breakfast at Sentosa Cove

Another Merlion statue - the symbol of Singapore!

Noodles in Chinatown - at the Noodle Man

A Chinese dessert - we thought it would taste like a snow cone, but, um, NOT AT ALL.  Bean flavorings with literally a can of cream corn on top.  YUCK!!

Caught an impromptu lion dance while leaving dinner!

Lunch date!

The Stamford Fun Run - Mia got 4th place out of all the KG2 girls that participated.  So proud of her!!

Sam & his buddy Thomas!  Thomas rocked 1st place, Sam 2nd, out of all the Pre-k kids!
